About This Web Site
Data Privacy Information
To improve our services and efficiency, we collect two types of information on our Web site:
- Web server traffic information. This information is used to determine the number of visitors to our site, the length of each visit, and sources of traffic. We collect aggregate data — or totals of those visiting from a domain — not information identifying individual users. We use this information to help improve our site and our service to you.
- Personal information provided by you. If you fill out a form or survey, register for an event, update your alumni record, or make a gift through this Web site, we may collect your name, address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, e-mail address, or other personal information you have provided. Personal information contained in the Minnesota Medical Foundation's records is used only for business related to the Minnesota Medical Foundation.
The Minnesota Medical Foundation is committed to protecting your privacy. The foundation does not sell, trade, or exchange any private information in its possession. It also respects the request of benefactors or other interested constituents to be removed from mailing or other distribution lists. If you wish, you may withdraw your permission at any time for us to maintain this information in our files or to communicate with you. To remove your name, complete the Solicitation Preferences Form.
The Minnesota Medical Foundation publishes donor lists each year in its annual report. To request that your or your organization’s name not be listed, please call 612-625-1440 or 800-922-1663.
Secure Server Information
Our secure servers and software use SSL encryption, the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. SSL encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.
To enable our online credit card processing, we use Verisign software, the most widely used online payment software. Verisign is one of the most reputable companies performing online financial transactions today.
