Reunion Weekend: Catching up with classmates
Excitement filled the air at the University of Minnesota in September as the campus literally buzzed with activity. On the same weekend Gopher football returned to campus, Medical School alumni reconnected at this year’s Reunion Weekend.
Alumni attending the reunion, held September 11 and 12, caught up with their former classmates, learned about leading-edge research being conducted at the University today, and took tours of the new University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital and the Schulze Diabetes Institute. Many also showed their Gopher pride at the first football game at the University’s new TCF Bank Stadium.
Some alumni connected before the event on the Medical Alumni Society’s Facebook page, where nearly 250 alumni and friends have signed up to receive Medical School updates.
