Compassionate care
Our unwavering dedication to children is well known far beyond our walls. In fact, University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital receives national recognition for its exceptional nursing and medical care and standards of excellence.
We provide care in more than 50 specialty areas, including general surgery and medical imaging; blood, marrow, and organ transplantation; neonatal and pediatric intensive care; emergency services; as well as services for children with heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases.
With a century of experience behind us, we know that children are not little adults. That’s why our space, equipment, and treatments are specifically tailored to meet children’s needs. Because we also know that family is an essential part of the care team, we involve families in their child’s treatment plan. And we have experts on staff to support the family’s emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, too.
