Karee Jo was diagnosed on Jan. 3, 2013, with pleuropulmonary blastoma, a rare childhood cancer that affects the lungs and chest cavity. Karee Jo enjoys hockey, gymnastics, basketball, and figure skating, and hopes to be a model when she grows up. Although Karee Jo has a long road ahead of her, her family is thankful for the support of family, friends, and community. They’re also grateful for the care she’s received at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.
