Key Technologies and Special Initiatives
MMF supports many special programs that address urgent and emerging health issues and that offer opportunities to capitalize on the University of Minnesota’s unique resources, capabilities, and expertise.
With generous donor support, University scientists and physicians are accelerating life-enhancing innovations in such wide-ranging fields as bioethics, bioengineering, ophthalmology, human sexuality, stem cell science, global health, and high-field imaging. For example, they are:

expanding the boundaries of stem cell science at the world’s first interdisciplinary institute dedicated to this field

setting global standards in public health preparedness and emerging infectious disease response through the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy
