Wall of Honor
The Minnesota Medical Foundation Wall of Honor program honors those donors who have given specifically to the Medical School, School of Public Health, and other Academic Health Center programs served by the foundation.
The recognition display — located on the busy second-floor corridor of the Phillips-Wangensteen Building — serves not only as a way to publicly recognize benefactors with a sincere interest in advancing health care, but also as an inspiration to the hundreds of students, faculty members, patients, and visitors who view the Wall of Honor every day.
Recognition Categories
Six distinct levels of recognition have been established for lifetime gift commitments to the Medical School (Twin Cities and Duluth campuses), School of Public Health, Cancer Center, and other related Academic Health Center programs.
| Recognition Category | Giving Level |
|---|---|
| Fellows | $5 million and above |
| Leaders | $1 million to $5 million |
| Deans Circle | $500,000 to $1 million |
| Benefactors | $250,000 to $500,000 |
| Centurians | $100,000 to $250,000 |
| Heritage Society | Estate plan commitments |
Additionally, all named chairs (funded at a minimum of $2 million) and professorships (funded at a minimum of $1 million) are recognized in a separate category on the Wall of Honor. Corporations, foundations, and organizations contributing $1 million and above are also recognized in a separate section.
Also included on the recognition wall are annual donors — those whose outright gifts during the previous fiscal/academic year — is $2,500 or more. Benefactors are categorized at the $2,500+, $5,000+, and $10,000+ levels.
Donors listed on the Wall of Honor may also be members of the University's Presidents Club giving societies.
While the donor recognition wall itself is permanent, flexibility is provided for donors to move from one level to the next. Increased giving and new contributors will be honored through annual updates.
