Exceptional Community Faculty Teaching Award
The Minnesota Medical Foundation invites you to participate in the selection of community faculty to receive the Exceptional Community Faculty Teaching Awards. The foundation endeavors with these new awards to honor and encourage the kind of preceptorial teaching the medical students hold in esteem. Winners receive a recognition certificate and a $500 cash prize from the foundation. Two awards will be made.
Eligibility for Minnesota Medical Foundation Exceptional Community Faculty Teaching Awards is open to all adjunct faculty who teach medical students in any of the four years of their training.
Criteria for selection:
- Major, enduring contributions to student learning,
- At least three years of continuous or recurring teaching of medical students in any year of training,
- Demonstrated superior evaluations of teaching by students,
- Special contributions to education of medical students.
Nomination Process
Nominations will be accepted from Medical School course directors. Submit the nomination form (Microsoft Word); attach student teaching evaluations of the nominee.Â

Review Process
Evaluation will be based upon student evaluations of the nominee. Award winners will be selected by the Honors and Awards Committee of the Minnesota Medical Foundation.
