Graduating Medical Student Research Award
The Graduating Medical Student Research Award program honors the most meritorious paper on a research topic with a $1,000 award. All students who have engaged in research during their undergraduate medical school years should consider competing for this award.
The awards are given in two categories. The first category is open to any member of the graduating class who has or is pursuing an additional advanced degree. The second category is open to any member of the graduating class who neither has nor is pursuing any other advanced degree.
Application Process
Mail or deliver an original and 15 copies of the following:
- Completed application form (Microsoft Word).
- A cover letter outlining the nature of the research.
- The research paper. Research must have been done at the University of Minnesota Medical School to be accepted. Abstracts will not be accepted, nor will grant proposals.
- A letter of sponsorship from a member of the faculty.
