Steer Family Award in Diabetes Research (G/S)

The $1,000 award is presented for outstanding research by a graduate or medical student in the field of diabetes mellitus. The recipient is chosen by an ad hoc faculty committee. 

Applications are invited for the Steer Family Award in Diabetes Research, which recognizes outstanding basic scientific research by a graduate student or a medical student in the field of diabetes mellitus at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis.

Through this award, Randolph C. Steer, M.D., Ph.D. and his brothers Clifford J. Steer, M.D. and Reginald D. Steer wish to recognize with love and respect two humanitarians, their mother Rozica and her mother Sifra.

The Medical School will coordinate the selection process. A committee of faculty who specialize in diabetes mellitus will choose the recipient. The award will be presented in the spring and consists of a $1,000 cash prize and certificate.
