Thorne and Sweeney Stroke Award
The University of Minnesota Academic Health Center and the Minnesota Medical Foundation invite applications for the Thorne and Sweeney Stroke Award. This fund has been established to reward individuals for outstanding accomplishments in the area of stroke and to encourage research at the University of Minnesota related to stroke.
The award(s) will be made for ongoing work or accomplishments related to stroke, with preference given to research projects. Awards in the amount of $5,000 come from the Joseph C. and Jeri Thorne and George and Clara Sweeney Endowed Stroke Fund.
Application Process
Applications for the award are invited from faculty, staff, and students at the University of Minnesota and affiliated institutions.
Applications shall consist of:
- Completed application form (Microsoft Word);
- Letter of introduction;
- Curriculum vitae or resume; and
- Brief description (maximum two pages) of the project, accomplishment, or research and the relevance of that work to the problem of stroke.
